Dr. Zacharias has treated our 2 large dogs and cat for nearly a year through complicated chronic diseases and a new diagnosis of bladder cancer in our older diabetic dog. She is compassionate, incredibly smart and willing to go the extra mile for her patients. She’s personable and also gentle with our highly anxious younger dog. We trust her 100% and give her our highest recommendations.

I strongly recommend that pet owners carefully consider their options before bringing an animal to this clinic. I wish someone had warned me before I trusted them with my pets. My cat Gizmo suffered a pathological jaw fracture during a dental procedure performed by Dr. Fuldner. The fracture was not documented in the medical records provided to me, but it was later identified and confirmed by other veterinarians through examination and X-rays. After the procedure, Gizmo’s condition deteriorated significantly. He developed a severe infection and ultimately died after an extremely painful decline. Unfortunately, Gizmo was not my only concerning experience. My other cat, Diego, underwent dental extractions through the same veterinarian. He continued having problems afterward, and a specialist later identified retained root remnants that required additional treatment and corrective dental surgery. I also received conflicting information regarding whether appropriate post-extraction X-rays had been performed. What was especially troubling was what happened after I began asking questions and requesting my animals' medical records. I received a certified letter informing me that the clinic would no longer provide veterinary care to my pets. This included my dog, who was receiving ongoing treatment and medication for seizures and had absolutely nothing to do with the dental concerns I was raising. I was left needing to quickly establish care with another veterinarian so her ongoing medical needs and medication would not be interrupted. I have retained the veterinary records, X-rays, photographs, emails, specialist findings, certified letter, and other documentation relating to these events. Gizmo cannot get another chance, and watching what he went through is something I will never forget. I am sharing my experience because other pet parents deserve to have this information when deciding whom to trust with their animals. Based on my experiences with Gizmo, Diego, and the termination of care for my other pets, I personally would never bring another animal to this clinic.

I took my dogs to GVV for over 15 years and they always received excellent veterinary care and were well taken care of in boarding.
