Been going to Grant Pet Hospital for 30 years ....no more...we needed them on two deferent times on a emergency for our Dog and cat when we needed them the most... To hard to get in .. absolutely do not call if you need a emergency.. just not a nice place anymore...you want your pet taken care of go somewhere else just like they told us when we needed them the most they let us down and it hurts

Wish I could say something positive about this vet that I’ve been going to for three years now but unfortunately I have had nothing but issues. However, I will say after making this review the manager did call to address the concerns I had which I do appreciate. To start my cat originally was suffering from something, which I later found out to be heart failure, and which they said was an ear infection. I understand you can’t catch everything however it does seem a little out there of an outcome. Less than a week later and I get back from work and she can’t walk, breathe, and is in severe stress. I obviously immediately call the vet because it wasn’t letting me schedule online in the open slots, only to be told that those slots are only for new clients. They told me to call around which I did but really struggled to find a place able to take her because nearly every place I had called also had open slots which were reserved for existing customers. I understood this as you should make sure you can cover your existing customers, which ironically is the exact opposite of Grant’s approach. This entire scenario made me rather frustrated however they’ve been good so far and were right down the street so i decided to keep going to them. which which my dog has had bad allergies since I got her and has problems with her ears because of this. Every time I take her I mention that she is always shaking her ears very forcefully and constantly scratching at them. Every time it’s the same, they say they don’t see anything and they look clean. How I can see a bunch of brown gunk and they can’t I don’t understand. As one might expect with no treatment the problem continued until her ear was missing a large chunk and she was dripping and throwing blood throughout my apartment meaning I had to take her to he emergency vet. They realized there was an issue and told me to try a few things which I have been doing. Her ears are now bleeding everywhere again all the while looking clean and clear to the vet. To add onto this and I think the most egregious offense is when I had to get a new kitten shots. I got her boosters and a few days later was told I needed to schedule an appointment to get her boosters again. Obviously this confused me so I mentioned that we already had gotten boosters the other day. They said that the boosters wouldn’t take after 4 weeks. This would be all understandable if it were the case however it was only a 3 week gap to which the person on the phone responded with “Oh, huh, let me find out for you what the doctor says.” This brings up multiple issues such as why would they let me schedule boosters and administer boosters if they weren’t going to take. I also had to be the one to point out it wasn’t 4 weeks only 3 which is rather embarrassing. And on top of the fact that if I hadn’t caught it would they have just went through with it like normal? The doctor finally got back to me a few days later and said that it was an error in the third party scheduling system they use which was the first I heard of it. This was confusing since I’ve never gone through a third party to schedule before and the phone call was directly from their front desk. Why I continued to return at this point I’ve no idea. All in all I’ve had nothing but bad experiences with this vet and have officially reached my breaking with my dogs ears bleeding again all the while being “clear and clean” according to them. I could go on an on with minor occurrences as well however these are the main issues I had and am hoping whoever is running this circus will learn from this in hopes nobody else will have to go through all this trouble.
